Fishing Report at 05 February 07
The exceptionally mild but very wet weather of January saw the few anglers who did venture out land plenty of well conditioned rainbows. The usual venues produced several double figure fish with buzzer, PTN, damsel, bloodworm and small lures all taking their fair share of fish.
February dawned cold and clear, and the fish are very much well up in the water. Between 11am and 2pm most days fish are feeding in the top 6 feet, dropping lower in the water either side of these times.
I always fined once February arrives I'm thinking more of spring and what's to come rather than winter. Then a big rainbow grabs the fly and jolts me back into the present with a heart stopping run!:)
Tight Lines
Steve
