Dry Flies Rule
Where did August go? I do not believe it was 10th August when I last posted on this blog. One thing is for sure, since then dry fly has ruled!
Both lake and river fishing I've caught more on dry than nymph. Watermark has produced some excellent evening fishing to sedges and during blustery days daddies too, the river there is not to be over looked either. Also picked up a number of fish on cdc buzzers.
On the rivers front both the Wye and Churn have produced superb browns, many between 1-2lbs. Great fun taking such fish on 20's midge patterns! Evening has produced good rises to sedges too.
Remember the trout season on the Churn and Coln ends 30th September and on the Derbyshire Wye 8th October. If you are looking for a guided day, we only have a few remaining so get in touch to avoid missing out!
Tight Lines
Steve
