Fishing Report September 2008
With plenty of water about, pushing water temperatures down 4-5 weeks earlier, lake fishing is improving far faster than in recent years. Consequently action at both Watermark and Loynton fisheries has been very good, particularly during this past week. Buzzers, daddy long legs, fry patterns and a variety of small nymphs have scored well. Stalking conditions at Watermark have been superb, water clarity is currently 8-10 feet visability, with lots of fish cruising the margins.
Flooding put out the rivers briefly, however fishing both prior to and post has been amazing on the Wye. The Cotswold rivers have been a little slower to recover with water taking much longer to run off. However the fish are there and we are catching, just not qute as well as the beginning of the month! With less than 2 weeks of the 2008 river trout season remaining, it's time to fit fishing in while you can!
Tight Lines
