Chalkstream Fly Fishing for Brown Trout

The chalkstreams of England are considered by many as the home of fly fishing. Clear flowing, nutrient rich waters, provide a lush aquatic environment where trout and grayling abound.

Hampshire's river Test and Gloucestershire's river Coln are prolific, rivers providing chalkstream fishing for brown trout just a cast away from central england and London.

Our guide service caters for your specific requirements, specialising in one-to-one guiding and group days. Whether you are new to chalkstream fishing or more experienced, your guide coaches you in the art of chalkstream fly fishing appropriately. Use dry fly or nymph to sight fish brown trout and grayling in crystal clear flowing water.

These rivers boast prolific Mayfly hatches, starting early May, running through to late June. In addition to the famous Mayfly, excellent fishing is to be had throughout the season, with superb dry fly and nymph fishing during midge, olive and sedge hatches and the ever present chance to stalk large trout.
