Fly Fishing Courses

During 2008 we will be hosting a number of fly fishing courses on both lake and river. These events are aimed at beginners and anglers with more experience looking to improve or try something new.

Course Dates

Saturday 17th May 2008 - Small Water Master Class

Learn to catch trout like this! Held at Watermark Trout Fisheries, Gloucestershire. This full day course is aimed at fly fishers with some experience who wish to develop their skills and take fly fishing to the next level. We will look at a range of techniques, including the important aspects of: -

Watercraft
Leaders, Presentation & Detecting Takes
Entomology & Fly Selection
Tactical Use of Sinking Lines
Stalking Techniques

The course will run 9am to 5pm, costing £70 per person inclusive of a 4 fish day ticket, exclusive use of the fishery, tuition and refreshments. Book your place today Contact Us!

Saturday 21st June 2008 - Beginners Fly Fishing Day

An introduction to fly fishing for the complete novice at Loynton Trout Fisheries, Staffordshire. The course will cover equipment, casting and practical fishing techniques. The day runs 9.30am to 3.30pm and costs £50 per person inclusive of fishing fees, equipment, tuition and the opportunity to take one fish home. FULL!

Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th November 2008 - Grayling Fishing Weekend

Learn to catch grayling like this chalkstream beauty during our weekend in the Cotswolds. An autumn weekend dedicated to chalkstream fly fishing for grayling on Gloucestershire's river Coln. Limited to 6 places the course will be guided by Steve, providing information on grayling, where to find them, fly fishing techniques and casting tricks to catch the lady of the stream.
