We provide a range of tuition options to suit your needs and availability: –
Fly fishing lessons take place at picturesque Midlands and Cotswold locations, easily accessed from the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. The major cities of Birmingham Manchester, London, Oxford, Cheltenham and Gloucester are within one hour’s drive time.

Beginners Fly Fishing Courses 2017
The aim of our beginners fly fishing course is simply to help you learn to fly fish! Join a small group of like minded people who want to know how to go fly fishing confidently and catch trout on a fly. Dates below are for remaining courses with availability.

- October 7th, 14th
Beginners courses run 9.30am to 4.30pm at Loynton Trout Fisheries, located on the county borders of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire. The price is only £79 per person. This includes fishing fees, equipment, tuition, plus course notes and video to ensure you remember everything!

Fly Fishing Lessons for Lake and River
Personalised fly fishing lessons are available throughout the year.
For beginners, enjoy a valuable introduction to the skills of fly fishing. Benefit from 1-2-1 tuition and a lesson tailored specifically for you or your group.
For fly fishers with more experience, we help you improve your existing skills and learn techniques new to you! Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements. Some popular lesson topics with our clients are:
- Fly fishing rivers
- Fish location and what fly to use.
- How to catch more and bigger trout.
- Targeting species other than trout, e.g. pike fly fishing, carp on a fly.
Lake Venues (available throughout the year): –
Loynton Trout Fisheries, Staffordshire/Shropshire. Price – Full day £170, half day £100. Add a friend £75 per person. Bushyleaze Trout Fishery, Gloucestershire. Price – Full day £200. Add a friend £100 per person.
River Venues: –
River Wye, Derbyshire Peak District. Price – Full day £200. Additional people £100 per person. Season – April 1st to October 8th.Location – River Coln, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. Price – Full day £250. Additional people £100 per person. Season – April 1st to September 30th.

Fly Casting Lessons
Good fly casting skills are a key aspect in presenting your fly well, helping you fish effectively and enjoyably. Lessons are a perfect opportunity to learn new casts or improve your existing skills. Tuition is available for all freshwater & saltwater fly fishing techniques including:
- Overhead fly cast
- Handling strong winds & big flies
- Single and double haul techniques
- Roll & Spey casting techniques
- Advanced presentation casts for river & lake
Prices are £30 for 1 person, £40 for 2 people per hour. Available at Loynton Trout Fisheries, located on the county borders of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire. Tuition is available daily throughout the year. Why not book your lesson before or after work?
