Steve Yeomans
Guide Steve Yeomans has been fly fishing for 26 years. During this time Steve has explored many lakes, rivers and reservoirs throughout the UK, Ireland Canada and New Zealand. He has caught a broad range of fresh water and salt water species on fly, including rainbow trout, brown trout, Salmon, grayling, carp, chub, barbel, pike, sea bass and mullet.
Steve has been a registered instructor since 1999 now holding the nationally recognized level 2 qualification to teach and guide game fishing. Steve is an Orvis endorsed guide and approved member of the Register of Experienced Fly Fishing Instructors and Schools (REFFIS) and is fully insured. He has guided full time since 2004 and now spends over 200 days per year coaching individuals and groups on still and running water.
In addition to his guiding and coaching activities Steve has contributed many articles and pictures to angling magazines, including fly fishing & fly tying and trout fisherman, plus several websites. Steve set up Midlands Flyfishing to provide guiding and tuition for novice, intermediate and experienced anglers alike. Steve splits his time instructing/guiding at fisheries and rivers the Peak Distirct National Park and Cotswolds. Keen to conserve and improve environments, Steve is a member of the Wild Trout Trust,fully supporting work done by this organisation and it's partners in preserving and restoring wild trout habitat. Midlands Flyfishing is proud to help this worth while cause raise funds and awareness of work done.
Tom Hammond
Tom is a life long trout and salmon fisherman, he is a G.Loomis pro guide and holds the level 2 instructors qualification in both trout and salmon disciplins. Based fulltime in the Cotswolds, Tom splits his time between teaching casting/fishing skills for trout and salmon with guiding local rivers.
Roger Smith
Roger has been a life long angler with over 35 years experience of fresh and saltwater fishing worldwide. He also brings years of experience working within the tackle trade to the team and his happy to advise you on a broad range of equipment. Roger guides fly fishing for big trout, pike and carp. Like Steve, Roger likes nothing better than stalking fish in clearwater and trips with him are highly visual experiences, providing superb fly fishing and a great opportunity to learn. During 2009 Roger was appointed Uk representative for IGFA (International Game Fishing Association), just the man to have with you when you land that record breaker!
