River Wye
River Wye
The Derbyshire Wye is a spring fed river, flowing through limestone valleys of the Peak District National Park. The river is famous for being the only UK water where rainbow trout breed, maintaining a self sustaining wild population in addition to native brown trout. A delightful location, where we provide tuition for all levels and guide visiting river anglers. Further details on river fishing in Derbyshire. Fishery Office 01298 871676.
Carsington Water
Carsington Water is arguably one of England's most picturesque man made reservoirs. At 850 acres it is also one of our largest and a great venue for learning how to catch trout in large waters and target grown on fish.
Gloucestershire
Watermark Fisheries
The fishery boasts a 6 acre spring fed lake along with a fine stretch of the river Churn. An excellent venue where you can enjoy a relaxing day of fishing and learning with us on both lake and river. Both have a diverse selection of aquatic life on which the trout feed, making this a great venue for all experience levels and a superb location for combining lake and small river fishing techniques. Lechlade & Bushleaze Fisheries
Located close to the village of the same name, Lechlade is a 9 acre spring fed lake, stocked with large brown and rainbow trout and is our venue for trophy trout fishing. A short stretch of river Leach runs alonside the lake with wonderfully spotted wild Thames brown trout. This makes the venue perfect for a combination day targeting large stillwater and wild river browns. Further details here.
The second lake, Bushyleaze is around 25 acres and provides excellent dry fly and nymph fishing on a larger stillwater for both browns and rainbows. A great venue for anglers wanting to develop their fly fishing skills on larger waters. Also good for sight fishing for much of the year. Fishery phone number 01367 253266.
River Coln
Many people think only of Hampshire for quality chalkstream fishing. However, the Cotswolds offers quality chalkstream fly fishing of an equal standard. The river Coln is a spring fed river, with crystal clear water throughout the season, providing fabulous dry fly and nymph fishing for brown trout and grayling. The May Fly hatch is prolific!
